Finding comfort during grief

by | Mar 11, 2022 | Digital Bibles: Audio Bibles, What CRMF Does

“Blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted” – Matthew 5:4

It is a devastating feeling when you lose someone and especially if that someone is a person you love. The feeling is mutual and it takes time to heal from a loss but during that process of healing, “how can one deal with loss and better heal?” The following story is a testimony of how Salome John Bonney dealt with a loss in her life.
How the Lord comforts during loss

Three years ago, Salome lost her husband to a severe illness and she has been a widow ever since.

Salome admits that after losing her husband, life was so much difficult and troublesome for her, but once she was introduced to the Audio Bible, whenever she faced situations, she would turn on the Audio Bible device to absorb God’s word and all her troubles and burdens would fade away.

Salome has always found comfort from the Audio Bible because she says that “I am reminded from the Audio Bible that the Lord Jesus is my life and my everything.” ~ Salome Bonney

Unfortunately, after a while, Salome’s audio Bible had some faulty issues and therefore she was unable to listen to the word of God from the audio device, but very recently, MAF Technologies Sale Manager, Nicholas Jowapo donated a new audio Bible to Salome who also attended the Nalepa CLC Church that Nicholas pastors.

The audio Bible device reassures Salome that she is never alone and God through His word reminds her that He is her greatest comforter and companion whenever she is faced with grief and the challenges of living life without her husband.

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.” –  2 Corinthians 1:3-4
