Youth Video for Christ!
“Colossians 3:17
And whatever you do in words or deed do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”
“In everything we do, we must do to Glorify God.”
With new technology coming into Papua New Guinea there is also an increasing use of social media, more particularly Facebook. Increasing numbers of Papua New Guineans use Facebook to chat, message, blog, and advertise. Data in PNG show teenagers and adolescents from the ages of 18 – 24 are frequent users of Facebook.

The opportunities Facebook provides for mass communication unfortunately can and has been abused. The media team at CRMF has taken an initiative to help educate and inform the young generation on how to use Facebook in a positive and godly way.
In our first youth video that was produced we address issues like gossiping, miss use of media, and angry posts and comments. Many young people publish without really thinking about negative consequences of articles and comments they post.
The youth video titled ‘Facebook, Jesus and Me’ is 4-minutes long, covering common issues faced by individuals on Facebook, including envy, comparison, anger and pride. The video also challenges our young generation to use Facebook as a light for sharing about Jesus.
So many, through their writing and posting publicly on Facebook don’t realize that they are either damaging another persons good reputation or damaging their own reputation and this arouses anger, envy, comparison and pride.
“It is said that information is power and that Facebook is a powerful tool that can be used for positive outcome.” As citizens of the global community we have responsibility towards each other. In everything we do we must do to glorify God and that includes the use of Facebook.
